I have been writing since I was in 8th grade (Class 8). My first writing was a story, which I read at a literary meeting held by Khelaghor, and was later published in the newspaper (Dainik Sangbad).
I've been actively involved with Chander Haat (Daily Purbodesh), and wrote for numerous daily newspapers in Bangladesh. Later, I did freelancing for Weekly Robbar. After I settled down in the USA, I kept writing for several newspapers in Dhaka and New York as a freelance journalist and columns. This blog contains some of my writings (columns, articles, stories, etc.) that I've written over a long period of my life and were published in various newspapers and magazines here in the USA and in Bangladesh.
I also wrote some short stories for children and adults, but due to my struggle in achieving my American Dream, I wasn't as successful as many of my friends in publishing my stories or articles. So, I don't have a long list of publications. Only two of my books were published, another one got lost during publication, which I was never been able to recover (sigh).
Anyway, my native language is Bangla, so except for a handful articles, most of my writings were done in Bangla. I hope to translate them in future, so that my kids can read them. I did write some articles in English, even though my English is not that good. Please be patient when you read them. All most all my articles and stories were published in newspapers or magazines, either from New York or Dhaka, Bangladesh. I'll be writing some new stories/articles in this blog.
